AOC umbrella is Auto Open & Auto Close (Collapse) Umbrella.

Fluted wire and MS wire are used in construction of umbrella stretcher. Stretcher is a very critical component of umbrella as it endures maximum pressure while opening, closing and using the umbrella. It needs to be strong and flexible to make umbrella more durable. Fluted wire (high-carbon steel wire) has these qualities. It is more stronger and flexible then MS Wire. We use fluted wire for umbrella stretcher.

Pongee, Nylon and Polyester are different types of synthetic fabric used in umbrellas. In umbrella industry, pongee is referred to very superior quality textured polyester, which is made through textured polyester yarn. Pongee is more wrinkle-free compared to nylon and polyester and is thus preferred and used in multi fold umbrellas. Nylon is softer in texture and stronger then polyester. And it is more water proof then Pongee and Polyester. We use water proof & water repellent pongee and nylon fabric only.

Umbrella ribs and stretcher (fluted wire) are zinc plated. And umbrella tube is first nickel plated and then chrome plated. Plating protects components from corrosion and also strengthens them.

Eyelets are used to assemble the umbrella ribs. There are three types of umbrella eyelets. SS (stainless steel), Brass and MS. SS and brass eyelets are not corrosive and has more strength compared to MS eyelets. We only use SS and brass eyelets.
